Parade Participants

Information for parade participants and marching units
America's Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration invites qualified groups to participate in our nationally recognized parade. All participants must align with our mission of educating the public while preserving our country's important history. Groups desiring to participate must submit an application at least six months prior to the parade for the committee to review thematic context for continuity.

America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration (AHTC) is a private parade operated under the oversight of its Director and Executive Board.  Its parade participants are invited to participate, it is not a public parade open to any organization that wishes to march. Suggestions for groups, themes and vehicles to be in the parade are accepted through email only. Please provide links to websites, photos and a description of the proposal in your email to director@usathanksgiving.com. AHTC receives many great ideas, you will only be contacted if the Director and Executive Board are able to include your proposed idea in the parade.

If you have a special vehicle you would like to send us photos of, we will keep them on file by the model year to be considered if we have a particular part of the parade themed for that year. For more information on the AHTC parade policies see our mission statement. We thank you for your interest in the America’s Hometown thanksgiving Celebration.

Voices of the Celebration

What People Are Saying

“The TD parade is one of my favorite events. Not enough superlatives to describe how wonderful the marching bands, floats etc are in America’s home town parade. I would recommend to anyone to visit & enjoy this parade. It is volunteer and contribution generated so please donate generously to keep it as spectacular as it was this year! Thank you to all participants!”

Yvette Bolduc Cingolani

“Drove all the way from Virginia with two small children to be apart of the BEST Thanksgiving Celebration. So glad that the quality and continuity of this parade has been maintained at such a high standard over the years so my children will hopefully have the same wonderful memories of it during their childhood as I did!”

Lindsay Dingess

“In my opinion, this is the best Thanksgiving Parade in the nation. Every year has a well planned theme, and everything lines up with it. Top quality floats and bands, and quality people running it make it a real pleasure to help out, and make me proud to be a part of! I have lost count of the number of years I have done so with my family. Then there are concerts, and events, and demonstrations, and a Food Festival that make it a complete weekend celebration. Well worth my trip in from Pennsylvania this year!”
